May as well make the thread for talking about rules now as opposed to later, I guess. Anyway, the current rules do not say much. How to win. Okay, what is there is a general outline, but what is allowed? Can you fight while cloaked? Can you warp in a fight?

Most of the rules have not been posted yet. For Warping in battle, You will have a warp to escape from a battle. As of current that is the most you can do for warps in battle. For cloaking, I am still working out how Mirage's effect (as well as Armada Thrust's effect) will work. Mirage most likely will not be able to attack. (Thrust will vary, I have to check if he does or not myself)

I know Mirage, and in most continuities he does not attack while cloaked. Though he can apparently grab Megatron's fusion cannon from the Decepticon leader's arm while cloaked. That was shown in G1. Most are unable to find Mirage while he is cloaked and thus cannot attack him. He is also said to be able to make himself look like someone else and to be able to appear to be somewhere else entirely.
How does damage work? Is there attack and Defence? Or is it going to be fixed damage attacks and HP?

There will be ways to attack him (Characters like Ravage and Bombshell will, since they can 'find' him) but most Characters can't.
As for the Damage, Characters have an Robot Mode (RBT) and and Alternate Mode (ALT). The ALT stats are also for if the character is 'damaged' (lost 1 battle. You have to defeat a Character twice to destroy him). But Characters can also transform to move better as well. (They will still use the ALT Mode stats, but are not damaged). Bases do have LP of sorts, they are Base Points. You can read up on that in the post about Bases in the Card discriptions section.

Anyone who has infrared, Ultraviolet vision, or keen smell or hearing can find Mirage. And likely most cloakers in general. Are there going to be Last Resorts for characters? Like if a character is going down, can they use some kind of ability that would likely take their foe down with them?

There will be cards like that, mostly Attack Upgrade Cards. (Check Upgrade Cards)
