A Planet controls the whole field of play. A Planet's effect can activate during a player's Base Phase. Each Planet has Inhabitants which lose 1 Rank while in either player's Hand.
General Rules: The player who goes first may choose to activate a Planet during his Base Phase. Otherwise, a player can only play a Planet via a Special Ability. Inhabitants from that Planet lose 1 Rank while in a player's hand. If a new Planet is played, the first Planet goes face-down under the new active Planet. Planets do not go into your Deck. They go to your Planetary Zone instead. You must have at least 1 Planet in your Deck, and may have up to 6 Planets. No Duplicates.
Arenas: Most Arenas have a Planet they are limited to so that Planet must be active to play the Arena. If that Planet is deactivated, Shuffle all active Arenas limited to that planet into your Deck. If an active Planet is destroyed, destroy all Arenas limited to that Planet.
Bases: When a new Planet is played, all Bases reset their Defense Counters except for Starships. But those Bases cannot take damage the turn that a new Planet is played.
